Research Training and Support for Arizona’s Workforce System
Working with the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) Workforce Division, the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) assisted in the acquisition of a real time job openings database, delivered training and technical assistants to participating Workforce Investment Boards and other partners on labor market information and analysis, provided periodic industry and occupation customer reports, and provided staff training to ACA research staff.
Train Your Leaders
C2ER provided training and technical assistance to Workforce Investment Boards and other key partners throughout the state regarding the use of real time labor market information. The training and technical assistance was a mix of limited in-person trainings and online sessions to include both formal webinar-based training and informal “office hours” sessions.
C2ER also provided training on the EMSI data tool as well as supplemental data sources to allow ACA research staff to effectively create customizaed reports on their own. This in-person training was conducted at ACA in Phoenix and was very interactive in nature, ensuring that ACA research staff come away with tools and techniques to address the unique requests inherent with their positions. In addition, C2ER provided a webinar to relevant partners about the capabilities of the EMSI tool to provide them with a basic understanding of the tool.
